My weapon is my body

My element is water

My world is swimming

Our Mission

Many animals are born with the ability to swim, but humans must practice before being able to swim with ease. Some people never learn how to swim, which often causes them to fear water. Learning to swim is important for several reasons, and mastering this skill at a young age can benefit you throughout your life.

Most doctors agree that swimming is a healthy form of exercise. It requires you to use many of the muscles in your body, some of them you do not use in a regular exercise. Swimming is building strength and endurance and is beneficial for your metabolism and cardiovascular system.

Otorohanga Swimming Club is designed to provide the swimmers with an opportunity to compete, to improve and expand their abilities through fun, focused & balanced training provided by the coach and facilities of the Otorohanga Swimming Club. We encourage positive team attitudes, self-discipline, sportsmanship, responsibility, and friendship."
